Mastering the ability of your best performance at any given moment during competition will allow you to react more calmly in other life situations as well. In order to be able to control and retrieve your best athletic performance in competition, you need certain skills:

 

  • Ability to concentrate and control your attention

  • Use of goals of different categories

  • Control of constructive self-talk and thoughts

  • Good reflection and perception

  • Visualization of essential situations and movements

  • A positive way of dealing with emotions and self-regulation

  • Energy regulation

  • Use of conscious breathing  

  • Motivation

These various skills can be trained and complement techniqual and tactical training on the court.  Tennis Mental Training is most effective when it is individually matched to the player.  I work with young competitive players as well as recreational players of any age - its never too late to improve and to take pride in yourself! I do sessions in German or English.
